The course will cover classical theories of electromagnetic fields, scalar and vector potentials, and Maxwell's equations with a focus on biomedical applications.

Ultrasonic transducer is a device which can convert electrical signals to sound signals and vice versa. The transducer is not only the most important part in medical ultrasound imaging systems, but also useful device in other industries, e.g. NDT, cell biology. This lecture will deal with the theory of ultrasonic transducers and experiments with simulations of PiezoCAD and PZFlex.
